December 2009 – The Atlantic Council of Canada honours Abby Badwi with its award for Corporate Social Responsibility and Economic Sustainability

Mr. Abdel Badwi , President & CEO of Bankers, was recognized for his contributions on behalf of Bankers Petroleum  to enrich the local environmental, health and safety standards of Albania, while at the same time improving the Albanian economy and helping the country move forward and grow.  Bankers has focused on using innovative techniques which allow for oil extraction to be performed in a cleaner and more sustainable manner.  For this, and for his significant role in nurturing and developing both an economic and environmental awareness in Albania, the Atlantic Council of Canada honoured Mr. Badwi with its award for Corporate Social Responsibility and Economic Sustainability.
